S&S Cartage is a company that was founded in 1956 by the late Mr. Gys Smit and is now managed by his youngest son, Dirk and his family. S&S Cartage, or Smit and Sons, as known by some is a company that has more than 50years' experience in furniture removals, warehousing and customer care.
The Company has show tremendous growth and has depots based in Virginia (head office) , Welkom , Lydenburg and Rustenburg. It is one of the leading operators in the Free State ,North West and Mpumalanga. The Company was also awarded first place in the Free state at the PMA Packer, Porter, Loader competition two years in a row. As a member of the Professional Movers' Association (PMA) for more that 25 years, the standard and operational capabilities of the company is very high. S&S Cartage is a well-managed professional company that strives for service excellence. S&S Cartage provides in-house training for employees and regular evaluation of staff is done by third party to ensure excellent service .
